Craig recently had the opportunity to speak with high schoolers who are participating in Habitat Greater Raleigh’s Summer of Service 2026 internship program. This program provides young adults the opportunity to work alongside the Habitat team to develop new skills and gain first-hand experience in non-profit work.
In addition to sharing his story about becoming an architect and showcasing our work here at TightLines, Craig helped lead a team building exercise where the students worked together building a tower using dry spaghetti noodles and tape – not your typical building materials! Kudos to these students for spending some of their summer break to learn more about the development, construction and importance of affordable housing. We wish them the very best in their future!
(As an aside, the event was held at Habitat’s construction warehouse, where panelized walls are fabricated before they ship to each building site. We were excited to see some of our house plans under production! Monique I, Fisher I & Carlisle I)
