Vance Street Homes in Rocky Mount, NC held its ground breaking ceremony this week!
Since early 2020, we’ve been working with South Eastern North Carolina Community Development Corporation and Rocky Mount Housing Authority on this exciting project. This 8-house development will provide six 3-bedroom and two 1-bedroom rental homes for Rocky Mount families. The homes have been designed as part of the NCHFA’s Supportive Housing Program, and will also be built to Advanced Energy’s SystemVision standards. The project scope also includes extending the city sewer to an area previously not serviced, creating the opportunity for future development of least 40 more lots in the area.
Wednesday’s ground breaking ceremony had great attendance of about 40 people, including City Council members, NCHFA members, and numerous other community leaders and project partners celebrating the occasion.
The homes are set to finish construction in fall 2022 – we look forward to sharing updates through the construction process!
