Habitat Wake wins award for Carlisle design!

Craig & Deep had the privilege of attending the Habitat Wake Impact Gala yesterday. This reception allowed donors, community members and elected officials the opportunity to take a tour of our modified Carlisle design that Habitat Wake recently completed in their Old Poole Place Community in Raleigh. This home is part of the 2023 Triangle Parade of Homes, and recently received a Silver award in their price category of $280,000-$350,000. The Carlisle includes three bedrooms, two full baths, an open kitchen-dining-living experience, a covered front porch, and a spacious exterior storage closet of almost 60 sf. The total house size comes in just under 1,100 sf (heated).

Several people spoke at this event, including a gentleman named Leon. Leon is a Habitat Ambassador who works regularly with future home buyers and guides them through the process, teaching them about his experiences in the program. At the reception he shared the story of how he was able to secure safe and affordable housing through Habitat Wake after immigrating from Africa.

In addition to a great showcase of the quality of construction Habitat Wake provides, the home was staged with furniture from their ReStore, as well as cabinetry provided by the affiliate. Be sure to check out the ReStore website for more information.
