The 2024 Home Builders Blitz event hosted by Habitat for Humanity of Wake County was a huge success! During this event at the Old Poole Place community here in Raleigh, professional contractors from around the Triangle area came together to build 4 homes in just ONE WEEK! One of those homes was our Hawkins design, and we were so excited and honored to have the opportunity to contribute to this incredible event. As a team, we even got to see the speedy progress for ourselves when we volunteered with Habitat to help with some of the other homes in the community!
We also sponsored the breakfast on one of the last days of the event before the crews completed their finishing details, with food from Carroll’s Kitchen, a local nonprofit restaurant that creates healthy employment for women overcoming crisis.
To wrap up the amazing accomplishments of the week, the Dedication Ceremony allowed everyone to hear directly from the new homeowners themselves. Getting to hear the excitement and gratitude in their voices was the icing on the cake! It truly makes all the hard work worth it.
