Hope Village at Method

Located just west of downtown Raleigh, Hope Village at Method is a community for young adults transitioning out of foster care and starting their journey into adulthood. Hope Village at Method is nestled in a quiet neighborhood just outside of NC State’s campus, across from the community park. The building consists of all one-bedroom units, each with large windows for ample light, and their own bathroom and full kitchen. The community space on the ground floor includes an office, shared laundry room, and multipurpose area that opens to a common green space.

This project was a true collaborative effort, with CASA helping engage the team and Youth Advisory Board at Hope Center at Pullen throughout the design process – from unit layout at the beginning to the final paint colors as we finished up construction. We learned it was important for each resident to feel independent but supported, so one unit is reserved for a community life coach. Additionally, many of the young adults who will be living at Hope Village are students or in the workforce, so a bar-height workspace with outlets is included in the covered porch area, overlooking the green space.

We hope the residents truly feel at home in their new apartments, and we can’t wait to hear their success stories!
